List of Xiaomi devices getting MIUI 9 based on Nougat 7.1.1

Xiaomi today announced a list of their devices which are eligible to get the upcoming MIUI 9 update based on Nougat. 

The list of devices are:

1. Xiaomi Mi4c, 
2. Mi4s, 
3. Mi Note, 
4. Mi Max, 
5. Mi 5/Mi 5s
6. Mi 5s Plus
7. Redmi Note 4X 

Some of the devices are not mentioned in the update but that doesn't mean they are not eligible. The list will be updated as and when the update rolls out. Keep watching this space for more.

MIUI 9 release date leaked from China slide

MIUI 9 Release Date

We have confirmed the release date of MIUI 9. The developer preview of MIUI 9 may launch by 11 July 2017. The stable build may release by 16 Ausugt 2017.

Few of the features which will come with the MIUI 9 update are:

1. Picture In Picture Mode Or Multi Window

2. MIUI 9 Caller ID

3.SMS scheduling ( which as per rumours might not be released in early stable builds)

4.Project SVLTE: This feature will help to improve RAM management.  

There will be updates to the old features like Call blocking and new theme policy.
